A significant part of the activity carried out by the union for its members is based on thinking and analysis of economic data and information. The Economics and Information Division compiles data on the kibbutz industry, produces the annual review, and conducts surveys, analyses, and processing and ad hoc reports in response to the union’s administrative needs. The extensive knowledge available in the union spans time, enabling monitoring of the development of the kibbutz industry and its characteristics over more than 40 years. The union’s database is an important source for researchers and students from Israel and abroad.
